DATA HANDLING PRACTICES

Six Ways We Protect and Manage Your Data

Our data-handling practices are built around minimisation and security. We collect only what is necessary to run your account, process transactions via UPI or Paytm, and keep the service running smoothly.

Encrypted Storage

All personal data — including your mobile number, email and payment references from UPI or PhonePe — is stored using AES-256 encryption at rest. Backups are equally encrypted and access-controlled by role.

Cookie Management

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how pages are used. You can adjust or withdraw cookie consent at any time through the cookie settings panel in your account.

Account Security Layers

Two-step verification is available for all accounts. Login attempts from unrecognised devices trigger an OTP sent to your registered mobile number before access is granted, reducing unauthorised entry.

Data Retention Schedule

Active account data is retained for as long as your account remains open. After closure, we keep transaction records for the period required by Indian financial regulations, then securely delete or anonymise them.

Third-Party Limits

We share data with third parties only where required to process your Paytm or UPI payment, comply with a legal obligation, or prevent fraud. We do not share your data for advertising or profiling purposes.

Requesting Changes

You can request a copy, correction or deletion of your data by contacting our privacy team via live chat or email. We respond within 72 business hours and complete all actions within the regulatory deadline.

Your Most Common Privacy Policy Questions

The questions below address what data we collect, how long we hold it, your rights as an account holder in India, and exactly how to exercise those rights. If your question is not listed, reach our privacy team directly through live chat or the Help Centre.

We collect your name, email address, mobile number and, when you make a deposit or withdrawal, the payment identifiers linked to your UPI, Paytm or PhonePe account. We do not collect more than is needed to operate your account.

Payment identifiers are passed to the relevant gateway — UPI, Paytm or PhonePe — to process your transaction. We store a reference token for reconciliation, but we never store your full bank credentials or Paytm wallet password.

Yes. Contact the privacy team by email or live chat with your registered mobile number for identity verification. We will compile and deliver a full data export within the timeframe set by applicable Indian data protection rules.

Submit a deletion request through the Help Centre form or email the privacy team directly. After verifying your identity, we delete or anonymise your personal data, retaining only what Indian financial regulations require us to keep for a defined period.

No. We do not sell or license your personal data to advertisers, data brokers or marketing firms. The only third parties who receive any part of your data are payment processors such as UPI or Paytm gateways, and only for transaction completion.

After account closure, we retain transaction records for the period mandated by Indian financial and anti-fraud regulations. Once that period expires, records are securely deleted or anonymised so they can no longer be linked to you.

You can correct basic details like your email directly in account settings. For mobile number or identity document changes, contact live chat support. Our team verifies the update and applies it within one business day, confirming by email.
